“When I first started group I thought it was the dumbest thing ever, thought it wasn’t going to help. The more groups I attended the more it actually made an impact, just being able to relate to people in my situation. I really like the fact that we get to “check in” and receive feedback not only from Katie but others. I learned that I have a lot more to lose by making high risk choices than what I originally thought and it def opened my eyes. I may not be perfect after I leave but I will for sure think more about the consequences of my actions beforehand… and that’s something I’ve never done. So thank you First Step.”
