I’m thankful

Initially, I was hesitant about group. I didn’t think I’d learn anything and objectively, I only went for my driver’s license. I enjoyed hearing from everyone. Everyone had their own problems to overcome and being able to hear everyone’s view points and opinions and values helped me in being able to learn more about myself and adapt from my own problems that I needed to overcome. During this stage of starting sobriety and continuance, I’ve been more efficient with time management, pro-active with work, and investing more time with friends and family. I’m thankful for being able to grasp the concept that alcohol isn’t always the answer to stress and that there are more ways to cope that will benefit myself.
