I started at First Step because of a DWI arrest and I thought it was an obligation that I had to get through. After the required 14 sessions I was helped considerably by the honest exchange of personal stories and commitments by others to improve their lives. They were always open to listening to me, and never judgemental. This was the only setting where I ever felt I could be completely open.
