“I was required by law to have a certain amount of group hours. I certainly wouldn’t have come here on my own. It wasn’t on my radar. My initial impressions was I didn’t want to be here. I just wanted to get it over with. But over time I softened and began looking forward to coming. It was a time to rewind down from working and started to enjoy the fellowship. I have learned and am learning that you can have fun without a substance and that I can keep improving myself. It was no fun sitting in your garage every morning watching people go to work and still sitting there watching them come back. There was no fun drinking all day, there is a better way for me now.”
