I attended 10 sessions with First Step. I was nervous and dreading the experience, to be honest. However, after the first session, I felt better. I felt comfortable in group. Being able to talk to others in similar situations to myself helped to lift some of the weight off of my chest. The groups were casual but productive. In that room, I felt a connection to others in the group. I also felt closer to myself. It helped me to live in the now and forgive myself for my past. As I move forward in my sobriety. I will be returning to First Step. These group sessions are truly helpful.
