    Doreen Runyon, CSAC is Community Outreach and Marketing Coordinator for First Step Services, LLC. In addition to her work with  the community, she facilitates the Professionals Program long term therapy group program. Doreen can be seen reaching out into the Wake and Durham County communities meeting with professionals, other treatment providers, inpatient programs, detox hospitals just to name a few. Doreen assists inpatient treatment centers  all around the country with placement of patients into local Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and outpatient aftercare treatment after completion of their inpatient treatment.

    After moving to NC from NY where she practiced as a credentialed substance abuse counselor professional, Doreen joined the First Step staff in March 2016. During her tenure at First Step, she has conducted substance abuse assessments, DWI assessments, individual counseling, group therapy, Prime for Life education programs, to name a few of her contributions. She makes significant contributions as a member of the First Step Services, LLC treatment team.

    Doreen is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor at our Raleigh facility. She facilitates the Monday evening aftercare Professionals Program groups, teaches ADETS & Prime for Life, conducts substance abuse & DWI assessments. Doreen has many years experience in the field.
