Aubree
graduated in 2012 from the University of Lynchburg in Virginia with her
Bachelor of Science in psychology. While in undergraduate school, she spent
most of her time developing clinical research on sexual disorders, trauma, and
personality disorders. While working full-time in Holden Beach, NC, she
enrolled into Liberty University’s Master of Art’s program for Professional
Counseling with an emphasis on trauma and grief counseling. After receiving the
opportunity to complete her internship at First Step Services for her degree,
she picked up with her two puppies and moved to Raleigh! First Step hired
Aubree as a substance use disorder counselor as soon as she graduated in 2016.
Currently, she is the evening Recovery in Action group facilitator and provides
assessments, individual counseling sessions for substance use and mental
health, treatment planning, and discharge planning for both community clients
and clients on Federal Probation. In her free time, you will most likely find
her with her tribe of fur babies, crafting, or singing!
